AIR CANADA (2): REMARKABLE LOSSES IN FIRST QUARTER

CANADA, Air Canada airlines registered in the first quarter a CDN$168 million (USD$110 million) loss for the first 2001 quarter. According to airline management, the causes of these remarkable losses are the reduction in business travel and jet fuel price increase. The company lost US$22 million in the the same period of the last year. .
