PROFITS UP, TRAFFIC DOWN FOR TRANSAERO
MOSCOW, Transaero said that the Russian company flew 21.8 percent fewer passengers in 2000 than it did in 1999 but doubled its overall profit. The private domestic and international carrier increased profits nearly 250 percent, thanks to traffic on its Moscow-London route too.
