Weserwerke started war production in a new building for assembling Junkers Ju-87 "Stuka" dive bombers and later Focke-Wulf Fw-190 fighter planes in Tempelhof's underground tunnels. Aircraft engines were trucked to Tempelhof and joined to finished airframes.
