The centenary of the first flight in Europe

Rome, Italy - It will be celebrated today at the Historic Museum of Vigna di Valle

On October 23rd 1906 the Brazilian pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont took off with a plane "14 bis" from the Bagatelle air field in Paris, flying for about 60 meters at about three meters of altitude. After a few minutes the plane landed without problems among the acclamation of the people, journalists and experts. The event was the first flight in Europe by plane.
