VARIG TO MERGE WITH TAM
BRASILE, According to brazilian business daily Gazeta Mercantil Brazil’s flagship airline Varig and the country’s second carrier TAM are considering the possibility to merge. The newspaper reported that Ozires Silva, Varig’s CEO had talked to Rolim Amaro, CEO of TAM, several times about the possibility of creating a single company for the international market.
