U.N. URGES MORE RADIATION TESTS
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, Senior United Nations officials have called for soil and water samples to be taken from Bosnia in areas where depleted uranium ammunition was used. The U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP) has already carried out tests for radioactivity and toxicity at 11 sites in western and southern Kosovo with the results expected by March.
