America West selects Airbus aiming to grow

Phoenix, USA - 22 airplanes among A-319s and A-320s have been purchased in order to encourage carrier's growth for some 8-10% by 2006

America West has announced it has signed an agreement with Airbus in order to take delivery of 22 airplanes among A-319s and A-320s (respectively 7 and 15 aircraft). This contract schedules that the first five airplanes will have to be delivered by the first months of 2005, whereas the remaining airframes should be entirely available by 2006.
