Profits increase for Emirates airline

Dubai, UAE – The carrier is in the middle of a massive expansion drive

The Emirates Group Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al-Maktuom announced today that the airline bucked an industry slump with 74% rise in full-year net profits to USD 429m from USD 246.9m a year ago. He even said the airline’s revenue in the year to March 31 was USD 3.6bn. No comparable figure was immediately available.
