Catania: yesterday airport stuck due to poor visibility

Catania, Italy - Most flights diverted to the Palermo airport

Due to poor visibility, the Catania airport faced a slowdown yesterday, although it was not closed. Most flights did not land at the "Fontanarossa" airport, but were diverted to the Palermo airport: from 3pm about 15 flights were forced to land at the Palermo "Falcone-Borsellino" airport. As the situation improved, some planes were then allowed to land in Catania.
