USA carriers: fare increase revoked

Washington, USA - The USD 10 surcharge has been suspended

After announcing last week a USD 5 increase for all one-way fares and USD 10 for round-trip ones due to the rise in fuel costs (see AVIONEWS), Continental Airlines, along with American Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways - whose fares had all been readjusted - takes a step back. Only Delta Airlines has decided to keep the new fares in force.
