A new mast mounted sight for the OH-58 Kiowa

New York, USA - Its components to be produced by DRS

The OH-58 Kiowa will be endowed of a new rotor mast mounted sight with TV detection, infrared and laser tracking for the Hellfire missiles. This need also stems from the redeployment of these helicopters in Iraq and its new technology will be supplied by DRS Technology. This system should warrant higher safety in performing reconnaissance missions for which usually this chopper is designed.
