South-east wind prevents landing on Palermo

Palermo, Italy - Wind blasts and air temperature rising have complicated approach procedures

"Falcone-Borsellino" airport was involved in particular meteorological conditions which made the carrying on of activities tough during the day on Sunday 22. No problem for departures but arrivals have all practically been redirected towards Catania and Trapani airports. The main reason for it has been a strong south-east wind coupled with a warm air pall which has made the visibility difficult.
