Japan Airlines System Corp becomes Japan Airline Corporation

Tokyo, Japan - Following the merger with Japan Air System

Japan Airlines System Corp (JAL), Asia's leading carrier for revenues, will be called Japan Airline Corporation. The name change will be effective as from next June. Toshiyuki Shinmachi will be President of the airline, which merged with Japan Air System (JAS) in 2002, while Isao Kaneko will be Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
