Northrop Grumman to develop F/A-18G's electronic warfare systems

New York, USA - This new Hornet's version to replace the EA-6B Prowler

Waiting for replacing the outdated EA-6B Prowler, US Navy has decided to assign to Northrop Grumman the task of producing jamming systems for the new electronic warfare version of F/A-18, the F/A-18G, which derives from the "E" version. This new aircraft will perform both the Prowler's traditional tasks and SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defences) missions but, in the meantime, an update has been scheduled...
