RADAR GLITCH AT MIAMI AIRPORT

MIAMI, Miami's International Airport radar was knocked out for an hour by a computer error last saturday. Air traffic controllers had to divert about 125 flights to an airport in Palm Beach County. Another radar system's failure a few days before contributed to a near midair collision between an American Airlines 757 and a United 767 which came within little over a mile of each other.
