WH Smith exits from the Us market

London, UK - Too many losses since September 11

WH Smith Plc, one of the most important English retailer, withdraws today from the American market selling its airport and hotel activities for USD 78,5. In truth after the September 11 attacks businesses have get worse marking for the WH Smith huge losses. According to the terms of the agreement the airport activities have been yielded to the Hudson Group for GBP 41m.
