2014: asteroid could hit the Earth
New Mexico, Usa - But the probability of collision is just 1 in 909.000
On August 24 scientists in New Mexico observed an asteroid possibly colliding with the earth. The giant rock around two-thirds of a mile wide could hit the earth on March 21, 2014 and has been classified as "an event meriting careful monitoring" by astronomers. The 2003 QQ47, as it has been named, has a mass of around 2.600 million tons. Its orbit calculations are currently based on just 51 observations...
