Rome, Italy - Frontal canopy had problems

On Sunday 20 an Alitalia Boeing 777 leaving from Rome and directed to New York turned and landed at Shannon airport, in Ireland, because of problems to the frontal canopy. The plane was flying over the Atlantic, when the pilot noticed an overheating of the canopy, which drove the captain to take the decision of turning and landing in Ireland.
