Air Canada increases net loss for 2003 first quarter

Toronto, Canada - Revenues are decreased

Air Canada reported a CND 270m net loss for the 2003 first quarter compared to a net loss of CND 219m in the year-ago period. The figures have been confirmed by carrier. Operating loss was CND 354m versus an operating loss of CND 160m last year. Revenues totaled CND 2.21bn, down 3.3% year-over-year. (0035)
