US GOVERNMENT IMPOSES SANCTIONS ON SHEIKH FOR GIFTING A 747 TO IRAQ
USA, The sanctions were imposed on the sheikh Hamad bin Ali Al Thani, president of Air Gulf Falcon. The administration will restrict export and re-exports of a broad category of U.S. goods to the Sheik. The measure was agreed by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Commerce Secretary Norman Mineta.
