Deutsche Post buys US Airborne

New York, Usa - The deal is worth USD 1bn

US Airborne, third US express shipper, said it plans to announce a deal in which Germany's Deutsche Post, Dhl Express subsidiary, will buy its US ground delivery network. Media reports said Dhl was set to buy Airborne's US network for USD 1bn. The deal withdraws intense opposition from bigger rivals. (0035)
