DELTA CHAIRMAN WANTS ATC TO SPLIT FROM FAA
USA, Leo F. Mullin, Delta Air Lines Chairman and CEO, recommended Air Traffic Control to become a government-sponsored corporation split from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Mullin said the nation's aviation system is "unprepared to serve this year's 650 million passengers and clearly not on track to meet the needs of the 1 billion annual travelers expected by 2009".
