Olympic Airways to post operating profit in 2002 FY
Athens, Greece - Despite the loss of 600.000 customers in the first 8 months of the year
Event though the airline lost 600.000 customers in the first 8 months of 2002, Olympic Airways forecasts to end 2002 financial year with operating profits of 23,5-29,3m Euros. According to Dionyssis Kalofonos, boss at Athens-based carrier, such a positive results are made possible thanks to a 30% increase in ticket revenues, route cutbacks and better management of the company’s fleet.
