Birmingham, UK - More than 2,000 people have signed a petition
More than 2,000 people have signed a petition against proposals to build a second runway at Birmingham international airport. The second runway is one of several ideas for the Midlands which the government has put up for consultation. Another possibility is to build a new airport between Coventry and Rugby. Birmingham airport handles 800,000 passengers a month. (004)
