Navy helicopter to fight clandestine immigration

Darwin, Australia - Christmas Island coasts boosted border protections

The Australian Defence Minister announced a detachment from 817th Naval Air Squadron will patrol Christmas Island's coasts to fight clandestine immigration. The Sea King helicopter and the 20 crew members will also provide a shore-based response capability for search and rescue. (009)
