Northrop increases profit by 60% in second quarter

U.S. defense industry No 3, Northrop Grumman, posted a 60% increase in profit at the end of the second quarter. With the acquisition of Newport News Shipbuilding and Litton Industries, Northrop has become a leading industry in ship manufacturing. Northrop is now settling the purchase of Trw, a military communication company, for an amount of USD 11.8bn. (004)
