ROLLS-ROYCE WINS ORDER TO UPGRADE ATA FLEET

LONDON, Rolls-Royce has been chosen by American Trans Air to upgrade the RB211 engines on its fleet of Lockheed L1011 Tristars. The contract worths $63 million and it includes spare engines. The deal represents business over the next three years. The modification package will increase time on-wing and improve fuel consumption.
