European Union to extend its role as grantor for airlines'insurance

Brussels, Belgium - Today

As confirmed by European Commission sources, Brussels will today approve the extension of the state support to European airlines insurance against terrorism risks up to October 31, 2002. This arrangement has been taken soon after September 11 attacks in order to help recovery of European air carriers severely affected by the international air sector crisis. (007)
