United attendants compensated with 48 USDm

Flight attendants at financially struggling United Airlines have won a USD48m compensation award from the carrier.It was made by an arbitration panel to narrow pay differentials between United's attendants and other major airlines. The award is equivalent to a 7.5 percent pay rise, back dated to April, for United's 26,000 attendants. How it is to be distributed will be the subject of negotiations...
