FAA proposes vertical separation reduction

According to a FAA proposal, the vertical separation between aircraft would halve, from 2000 feet to 1000 feet, in the flight levels comprised between FL290 (29,000 feet) and FL410 (41,000 feet). According to FAA sources, this would led to a 30% increase in routes availability in the next ten years. (Gio/B)
