Agreement reached between General Electric, Pratt&Whitney and Emirates for A-380 engines
Singapore - The rival engine industries agreed to work together for these engines
The value of the contract is about 1,5 USDbn, and Emirates has signed it with General Electric and Pratt&Whitney for the supply of GP7000 engines for the ordered 22 Airbus A-380 jetliner and eventually for the other 10 in option. The two engine industries, normally competitor, have reached an agreement to develop these engines. (Gio/B)
