BRITISH GOVERNMENT DECIDED TO HELP AIRLINES IN DIFFICULTIES
LONDON, GREAT BRITAIN, The British Government decided to help financiarily airlines affected by the September 11 attacks in the United States sharing a GBP£40 million (USD$57.6m) compensation package. The decision to aid the carriers was taken by the Transport Secretary Stephen Byers. Qualifying airlines will now be invited to submit claims.
