ARLINGTON, US Airways ceo, Rakesh Gangwal, resigned yesterday to pursue work in private equity and venture capital, said a press release. Chairman Stephen Wolf said he is to take back the reins temporarily. "I am grateful for having had the opportunity to contribute to US Airways over the last several years", Gangwal said. The airline's shares tumbled almost 5%.
