VARIG SUSPENDS SOME FLIGHTS
BRAZIL, Brazilian airline Varig announced that it is to suspend one of its eight weekly flights to Los Angeles and two of its 11 flights to Paris until 30 November 2001 because of the drop in demand. The carrier will use smaller planes on its route to New York.
