UNITED AIRLINES BOARD APPOINTS NEW CEO

USA, Following the resignation of James Goodwin, former United Arline's ceo who said it was time "for a new leader to guide the organisation", the board has appointed John W Creighton new executive officer for the carrier. Mr Creighton has been a member of UAL's board of directors since 1998.
