THY TURKISH AIRLINES TO HALVE ITS FLEET
ANKARA, THY Turkish Airlines yesterday said it pans to halve its fleet in the long term. "Up to 12 planes may be withdrawn from the fleet in 2002 and up to 18 in 2003 due to developments in Turkey and around the globe", said THY in a statement. More than 1000 workers will be laid off.
