SPANAIR TO SUSPEND MADRID-WASHINGTON SERVICE

MADRID, Spanair announced it is to suspend its Madrid-Washington Dulles service from Nov. 1. "In light of the recent tragic event and its impact on airline traffic, it has become difficult for Spanair to continue a profitable operation on its North Atlantic route", an airline official said. Spanair currently operates the route five times a week using 767-300ERs.
