US AIRLINES GET BAILOUT

WASHINGTON, US Congress and administration today agreed to provide $15 billion to help the US airlines to survive, preventing a few of them from collapsing. The aid package exceeds the White House offer but is less than the amount the airlines would have liked to get. About $5 million will be provided in direct grants, the rest in loan guarantees.
