AUSTRALIA DELAYED DECISION ON AWACS ACQUISITION

CANBERRA, The australian government has decided to suspend for some time and delay to a date to be arranged the decision for acquisition of six or seven AWACS aircraft for nationwide air surveillance. The Wedgetail Project has a preferred bidder in a group leaded by Boeing that includes Northrop Grumman and BAe Systems presenting the 737-700IGW.
