F-16 FIGHTER CRASHES IN TURKEY

ANKARA, A US F-16 fighter yesterday crashed in southern Turkey. The aircraft went down in the Besiri district of Batman province, Anatolia agency reported. The pilot parachuted to safety and suffered only minor injuries. The F-16 took off from Incirlik air base and was heading to Iraq to patrol the "no fly zone". The aircraft will be inspected today.
