At the auction organized in Rio de Janeiro to buy the Varig, the Brazilian flagship carrier, only a buyer arrived and it bought the airline for only USD 24 million. It is the ex-service company of Varig, VarigLog, sold by the mother company years ago. To understand the value of the bargain realized by VarigLog we have to remember that in last June auction they were asked USD 330 million for the purchase....
