VIETNAM AIRLINES PLANS TO BUY AIRBUS PLANES
HANOI, Vietnam Airlines today said it intends to buy five narrowbody Airbus airliners as a part of a five-year fleet expansion plan. "The purchase has been approved by the government in the plan to develop the fleet up to 2005", said Nguyen Xuan Hien, general director of the state-run airline. The Airbus would be A319, A320 or A321, depending on prices offered.
