More than 40 million Americans travelled on July 4
Washington, USA - 4.6 million chose airplane
Record July 4 for US tourism: according to Travel Industry Association’s (TIA) data, 40.7 million Americans travelled beyond 50 miles on the occasion of the Independence Day national celebration. Among these people, 85% moved by car and 4.6 million took airplane. Arrivals in Hawaii Islands grew 2% compared to 2005.
