Japan confirmed the retreat of its contingent from Iraq

Tokyo, Japan - The Raising Sun will continue to supply logistic support to the coalition troops

Japanese Government confirmed to the US Administration, its intention to retreat its troops from Iraq (see for details AVIONEWS). Prime Minister Koizumi specified that his country will continue to supply logistic support to the coalition contingents. In particular, for the first time, Japanese C-130 aircraft will be put in service in Iraq.
