Catania: engine fire signal on a BA plane

Catania, Italy - During the lift off manoeuvre

Last Saturday a British Airways B-737 headed to London was forced to stop its lift off manoeuvre on the runway of Catania airport, Sicily, because of an engine fire signal lighting up in the cockpit. There were no consequences for the 136 passengers on board, but the airport remained closed for a short time. ANSV (Italian National Flight Security Agency) is investigating on the fact.
