QANTAS ON THE WAY TO PURCHASE A STAKE IN AIR NEW ZEALAND

AUSTRALIA, Australian Qantas has announced it will shortly express its formal intention to buy a stake in Air New Zealand soon. This intention follows meetings, held in Sydney, between Air New Zealand's major shareholders Brierleys and Singapore Airlines, and Qantas.
