The first female shuttle pilot leaves NASA

Washington, USA - She is Eileen Collins, commander of Discovery and Columbia

The first female commander who ever piloted a NASA shuttle, Eileen Collins, has decided to leave her job as "Stars Captain" in order to devote to her family and other interests. In 1995 she was at the helm of Discovery and she headed also a Columbia mission, the shuttle which disintegrated coming back into the atmosphere on the first of February in 2003.
