ESA confirms Cryosat program
Rome, Italy - Launch scheduled on 2009
European Space Agency (ESA) decided to confirm Cryosat program for the study of Earth’s glaciers. On last October 8 the satellite, that had to be put into orbit by the Rockot rocket, fell down in the Artic Sea (see for details AVIONEWS); so ESA decided to give green light to Cryosat-2 program which as the same studing goals of the previous one. The launch should be effectuated on March 2009.
