Finnair PLC swung to a EUR 2,9m net loss in the fourth quarter last year, caused partly by a near tripling of fuel costs, despite a strong growth in sales. In the same period a year earlier, the air company reached a profit of EUR 3,9m. Net sales in the three-month period through December grew 7,5% to EUR 478,6m from 445m in 2004.
