Lufthansa: European Commission approved the planned acquisition of control over Eurowings
Dusseldorf, Germany - The German carrier will acquire control over a low-cost airline for the first time
The European Commission has cleared Lufthansa to purchase Eurowings no-frills airline as reported by German newspaper "Handelsblatt" (see for details AVIONEWS). But the German carrier is expected to observe some conditions. The Commission has in fact ensured that other airlines will be able to offer services in competition with the air operator resulting from the merge between Lufthansa and Eurowings....
